The design of the flux chair may look pretty straightforward. 
And rightly so – we like to keep things simple.

But don’t be deceived: underneath the elegant exterior is a
sophisticated hinge system that you don’t even notice.
That’s because we’ve made it part of the design, so that what you end up with
is a single piece of durable material. That means no more rusty spots or squeaky joints.

The single biggest design challenge flux faced was to find a material 
that could meet two opposite requirements: strength and flexibility.

Where to look for the answer? A hooligan-proof football stadium (obviously).
We found a high-performance plastic commonly used for stadium seating,
and then made it look a lot nicer. The result is a chair
that’s easy to fold, surprisingly strong, and suitable for (almost) any weather.

To make a comfy seat even comfier, we’d like to present the flux chair cushion.
Not a wrinkle in sight, its party trick is its curvy-yet-smooth cover.

To achieve this effect without the use of botox, we came up with a new process
in which the water-repellant cover is actually glued straight onto the cushion.
The end result is soft-yet-stylish, and fits the chair like a glove.
